CANINE BEHAVIOUR ACADEMY

     

 Today, my Springer and I took part in our very first mantrailing class and we are officially hooked! Jane and her team were absolutely fantastic. They explained everything clearly, guided us through each step with patience and enthusiasm, and even dropped some mind-blowing facts along the way (I’m still not over the whole nose pockets thing). Jane is a brilliant teacher knowledgeable, supportive, and clearly passionate about what she does. Polly had an amazing time, and honestly, so did I. It was not only a great bonding experience but also a surprising workout… for both of us! We were so wiped out that we collapsed on the couch when we got home and accidentally napped for hours. Woke up dazed, confused, and in the dark, pretty sure the Polly was dreaming about her next trail… or maybe it was just all the amazing treats she had! Can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommend to anyone looking to do something fun and enriching with their dog.

 We did our first mantrailing class with Jane and we had a great time. Jane knew how to prioritise time well and provided a good insight into trailling with enough theory and practice for anyone to try - regardless of breed, age etc. I look forward to progressing with my dog Junior

 Jane is absolutely brilliant. She seems to have an amazing ability to connect with dogs and to understand quickly any issues the dog is having and the provide very sensible strategies that work. Our boy was fearful of his own shadow and his improvement in one weekend with her input is nothing short of amazing.

 I had one session with Jane. To have Jane listen and understand the situation in one hour was outstanding. Jane just knew what we had to do with my border collie and he was showing signs of improvement by the end of the session. I can't thank Jane enough for her skills and understanding of our issues. Things just made sense. I recommend Jane and I will be reaching out if we need further help.

 After just one 60 minute session with Jane, I noticed immediate positive changes in my dog (who is reactive and shows aggression to other dogs). I'm beyond grateful that I found Jane to help resolve my dog's issues, and her techniques have developed such a stronger bond between me and my dog. Cannot recommend her enough!!

 Jane is helping me with my anxious chihuahua Wesley who has become quite reactive toward strangers. I felt immediately reassured with Jane from the very first email where she was thoughtful and thorough in her response. I also really appreciated the form she has created, which you need to fill before your first training session. With this she can really get to understand your dog, their history, and the issues you want to address. Jane's instructions on the day were clear and easy to follow and she provided some really handy tips too to make life a little easier (like how to hold my lead better so I can quickly give Wesley a treat upon good behaviour!). She also made sure we were tackling the things I really wanted help or guidance with. I have a terrible memory, so I love that Jane sends a written training plan to follow also. Overall I can see Wesley improving even after just a few days of following her advice, she is very approachable and lovely to work with, and I'd highly recommend her :)

 As first time dog owners, we were keen to set up good habits through positive reinforcement. To this effect, Jane was a reassuring support for us. She came to our home, was well prepared, listened to and responded thoughtfully to our concerns, and our young pup engaged happily under her instruction. Provision of a detailed plan post-session was immensely helpful, as was her generosity of spirit in contacting her again if we had follow up questions. Jane’s guidance has given us confidence to enjoy training our dog.

 Jane is amazing. A true dog whisperer. I know a lot about dogs but I really needed help. I have hired a number of trainers, and even done intensives with my girl to try get help with walking and barking and jumping. In just one session I could see the changes I was hoping for. I’m confident with practice we will get to what was feeling impossible. Mooki is anxious and smart, and only days before we had been attacked by a husky. We were both traumatised. Jane was understanding and clear and patient. Jane could see the issue and knew what to do. And how to adjust to our needs. I am so happy we found Jane and recommend her highly. This is the trainer for us. My only hesitation in writing a review is she’ll get too popular ! Truly impressed. A real dog lover.

 Jane listened to the issues with our dog attentively and made some great observations as well. She gave us some pro tips and we have already noticed some changes. She also encouraged my wife to do some training with our dog since she was a bit reluctant. Would highly recommend her services.

 Jane is a natural dog trainer. She’s also totally across the theory and science of dog cognition and has oodles of effective strategies in her bag of tricks to help you and your hound have a happy, healthy relationship. I can’t recommend her more highly.

 I contacted Jane because my beautiful boy, Bowie, was becoming quite reactive on leash around other dogs/animals. She immediately identified it was out of anxiety and helped me to better identify signs of anxiety in Bow. She provided a comprehensive report and suggested activities Bowie and I could do to help his anxiety and on-leash walking. Things are still a work in progress, but thanks to Jane, Bowie has become far more confident on-leash and is living his happiest life. Would highly recommend if you want to better understand how your dog behaves, thinks and feels.

 We had a wonderful session with Jane last week. She gave us insight to what Eddie (our very nervous collie) may be feeling and experiencing. Her gentle guidance and obviously well informed methods gave us invaluable tools to help Eddie to be calmer when out on a walk, particularly when there are other dogs close by. After only a week of implementing Jane’s suggestions we have seen big improvements. Thank you Jane!

 I cant recommend, praise and thank Jane enough for her part in mine and Dash's journey to a more relaxed and happy life together. Jane offers a holistic approach to training which is what I have been searching for in a trainer for a long time. She is kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. Very accomodating with me living outside of Canberra and her follow up training plan is fantastic as its impossible to retain all that information from your initial consultation! My initial consultation with Jane really reassured me that there is hope for Dash and I, and inspired me to pour all of my time and effort into training Dash. We now have so much fun training at home and we cant wait to catch up with Jane again soon so that we can learn some new tricks and life skills!

 Jane has been absolutely amazing at 'human training' me to help me communicate with Bill, our one year old Blue Heeler. Jane did a private session with us and we also did the 4 week group beginner training course which has been pivotal to our puppy progress. I couldn't have come so far without Janes help and constant positive reinforcement. It was also a really nice way to start my Sunday mornings! Thanks Jane!

 I would highly recommend Jane from The Canine Behaviour Academy. We have worked with Jane since our German Shorthaired Pointer puppy (Zoe) came home and it has made the world of difference in making her addition to our family such a joy. Jane was able to build my skills to teach Zoe all of the basic commands needed as well as a few fun tricks. Attending group classes has also helped build Zoe’s focus on commands when distracted. If you’re bringing home a new puppy or looking to trouble shoot some issues with an adult dog, Jane is the place to start.

 I recommend Jane wholeheartedly as does my border collie, Junee! Jane has improved Junee's and my family's quality of life tremendously in just a few sessions. Her depth of knowledge and intuitive understanding of dogs is amazing, and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Our boy loves his sessions with Jane for good reason (and not only because she bring good treats)!. Highly recommended not only for little improvements or confidence issues but also for larger behavioural concerns. Jane not only builds the confidence of the dogs but the owners as well - setting us all up for success!

 We had Jane come out to our house this morning to assist us with a 7 month old cattle dog. We’re really impressed with her approach and knowledge. We’ve been given great tips and information to help shape our puppy into a well rounded doggo. We will definitely be joining the group classes also!!

 I highly recommend Jane and her fabulous foundation course. Ruffy, my anxious Border Collie and I really enjoyed the course and got so much out of it. Jane taught me a lot about Ruffy's body language and how to best deal with different situations (like other dogs or things that Ruffy is scared of) and how to gradually build his confidence. Ruffy loved learning new commands and hand signals. I was sure he would bark at the other dogs for the whole course but he settled into the course almost immediately thanks to Jane's handling skills. 😁🐶🐶

 My two year old French Mastiff was in a fight with a Rottweiler he knew well. I became concerned that I was perhaps not the right owner for this breed. I considered selling him on. Harvey is part of our family and my three year old son loves him so I decided to seek professional advice before letting him go. A friend suggested Jane and I arranged a home visit for Jane to meet Harvey. After completing initial training I am able to work and understand my dog so much better. Sit, drop, stand, loose lead walking, paws up - Harvey has quickly learnt the fundamentals. Our interactions with him are far more interesting. I had taken Harvey to another trainer but there was no rewards and he did not respond at all to this training. He has responded so well to Jane. Harvey will continue working with Jane and I can highly recommend her as a professional and knowledgeable trainer. Thank you Jane.

 I highly recommend Jane Wild (Canine Behaviour Academy) with help to teach your dog how to walk properly. My 3 yr old labrador constantly pulled us when we walked him and he couldn't be walked very easily at all. Now with some training from Jane (and feedback advice to better understand him), has dramatically changed our walks, and now my wife and young daughter can even walk him with enjoyment:)

 Jane is amazing! We have a 6 month old British bulldog with some behavioural issues and we were lost at what to do. From the minute Jane arrived our dog was obsessed with her, she made the training session fun for him and us, we learnt so many things and have started implementing them and his behaviour is already improving. Jane never made us feel guilty about the way we were training him before, she was understanding and really seemed to care. I would recommend Jane if you are struggling with your dog.
